Kimi K3.1 Pro becomes available in Microsoft Foundry
Moonshot AI’s Kimi K3.1 Pro is available through Microsoft Foundry, adding an open-weight model for agentic coding, research and document workflows. Microsoft describes text and image understanding with a context window of up to one million tokens.
The announcement links the Foundry model catalog and recommends evaluation on representative tasks, including completed-work quality, tool use, visual inputs, cost and speed.
Provider benchmarks are presented as a starting point rather than proof of performance in a customer application. The model expands Foundry’s model-selection options; a large context window alone does not establish suitability for a particular workload.
