Business Central Admin Center MCP: preview capabilities and tenant limitations
🛠️ Business Central Admin Center exposes administration operations to MCP-compatible AI tools in production-ready preview. Administrators can query update status and installed extensions, with confirmation steps for proposed actions.
The preview uses single-tenant authentication. Microsoft's multi-tenant proxy sample is unsupported and not intended for production. Environment deletion and renaming, security-group changes, and Power Platform linking or unlinking are excluded.
The documentation was updated September 1, 2026; this briefing covers the capability highlighted at Directions, not a newly dated launch.
