Azure Container Registry adds Data Transfer and Transactions metrics in GA
✅ Microsoft announced general availability of Data Transfer and Transactions metrics for Azure Container Registry (ACR).
Both are emitted automatically to Azure Monitor for existing registries; Microsoft says there is no additional configuration or charge for the metrics themselves.
The new dimensions expose outbound bytes, the registry API operations behind traffic, serving regions and response types, including errors and throttling. Previously, aggregate push/pull counts and storage metrics offered less diagnostic detail.
Azure Monitor queries and integrated Grafana dashboards can now help teams investigate transfer spikes and failed requests.
