Day 1: Keynote Highlights and Go-to-Market Opportunities
Directions EMEA 2026 kicked off in Paris with an inspiring keynote from Aida Seifi Labrosse, General Manager of Business Central!
Three highlights that bring new possibilities for partners and customers: ✨ Edit with Copilot: create and update Business Central records using natural-language instructions—announced in early access for partners. ✨ Business skills: describe company processes and rules in reusable instructions that guide Copilot and agents, with partner early access planned for November. ✨ Expense Agent: capture receipts, categorise expenses and check company policies, ready for people to review and approve.
...and much more!
Immediately afterwards, I joined the Business Central Go-to-Market Strategy session, where Microsoft shared its market estimates across three growth opportunities: → Help approximately 60,000 on-premises customers move to the cloud. → Bring Business Central to the approximately 8 million Microsoft 365 customers. → Win business from an estimated 300,000 customers using competing solutions.
The Partner-to-Partner model particularly stood out: Microsoft 365 partners bring their customer relationships and licensing business, while Business Central partners bring ERP expertise, implementation and services.
This is a practical opportunity to grow together by combining complementary strengths.
Alex Pombo closed with clear next steps for partners: ✅ Build a Business Central business plan around these three growth opportunities. ✅ Prioritise on-premises migrations and explore the FY27 Migration Voucher. ✅ Reach Microsoft 365 customers through P2P and CloudAscent insights. ✅ Support competitive wins with sales resources and applicable CSP incentives. ✅ Build AI and agent skills, supported by BC Practice Accelerator, Growth Lab and BC Talent.
Thank you to Aida, Alex and all the keynote and go-to-market speakers for the excellent presentations and practical insights!
