Specialization skilling updates
🎓 Microsoft’s July skilling update replaced several retiring certifications with AI-focused credentials across designation and specialization requirements.
⚠️ Examples include AZ-204 to AI-200, MB-280 to AB-210, AZ-500 to SC-500 and PL-200 to AB-410, with retirements spanning June through August 2026.
⚠️ A certification completed before its retirement remains valid for one year under the announcement.
👉 Partners pursuing affected business applications, Azure or security qualifications should compare their staff credentials against the updated specialization pages.
⚠️ The changes are not identical across every specialization, and some retired credentials have no direct replacement.
