Cowork expands plugins and adds role-based skills
Microsoft has expanded Cowork with more connections and prebuilt workflows.
🧩 Sales, Service, Education and Legal role-based plugins are available now in the Roles & Industry library.
Federated Copilot connectors can bring live external-system data through MCP, while Power Platform connectors are rolling out over the coming weeks.
📋 An updated task catalog is rolling out by the end of October. Cowork can also start event-driven tasks when connected systems change; administrators control available plugins, and actions that send messages or change records wait for user approval.
