Copilot harness enters public preview in Foundry; hosted-agent resilience reaches GA
The Microsoft Copilot harness is in public preview in Foundry Agent Service, combining reusable skills, connected tools, managed execution and bounded delegation.
Microsoft runs the agent loop and sandbox while developers supply knowledge, tools and a supported model.
Separately, long-running resilience for hosted agents is generally available; applications must save progress and prevent duplicate external actions on restart. Harness runtime billing starts December 1, 2026.
Runtime is free before then, but model inference, tools and connected services can still incur charges.
Account for runtime consumption charges; model inference, tools and connected services can already incur charges.
