SharePoint tools in Work IQ enter public preview
More than 60 SharePoint operations are available to agents in public preview through the Work IQ MCP server, with tools also rolling out to Copilot Studio. They cover lists, libraries, files, search, approvals, sharing, version history and the recycle bin.
Calls run with the signed-in user’s delegated permissions. Administrators must enable Work IQ, consent to WorkIQ.Read and, for actions, WorkIQ.Act, and allow the required paths in tenant policy.
Agents using only WorkIQAgent.Ask do not see these SharePoint paths. Consumption is billed through Copilot Credits independently of Microsoft 365 Copilot licensing; administrators can configure billing and spending policies.
