CSP software pricing update effective October 1, 2026
π° Annual-term CSP software subscriptions billed monthly carry a 5% cost-of-capital uplift from October 1, 2026.
π‘ The change covers software such as SQL Server, Windows Server, Client Access Licenses and System Center; existing affected subscriptions receive it at renewal on or after that date.
π° Annual billing and month-to-month subscriptions are unchanged.
π‘ Microsoft corrected an earlier effective date and says no Partner Center or system changes are required.
π° CSP teams should explain the billing-plan difference before renewal and use the updated guidance in quotes, rather than applying the uplift to every software subscription.
